Preschool

Tiggers and Eeyores

At Honey Grove, our academic goals for each one of our classes is a progressive set of developmental, age-appropriate specific skills for our teachers to use as guidelines when creating their lesson plans. Students who are enrolled in our pre-school programs participate in many hands-on learning centers that expose children to the different areas of learning. Teachers will facilitate opportunities for learning by using developmentally appropriate materials enabling our students to practice and acquire skills whether working individually, in large groups, or in teacher-directed small groups.

Preschool Team

Lead Teacher: Miss Chelsea

Lead Teacher: Miss Megan

Miss Megan currently lives with her husband, Greer, and her two children (Callum and Simone) in Franklin, IN. Both of her kids are club swimmers for Franklin Regional Swim Team so she spends a lot of her time volunteering for the swim team. They love to hike, cook, listen to music, go to musicals, watch movies, read and walk together. 🙂 She currently has 3 pets (Runner the Golden Retriever, Oliver the Cat, and Summer the Rabbit). Megan is originally from Ft. Wayne, IN, and has lived in multiple places throughout her life including Indianapolis, Aurora, Bloomington, Lexington, KY, and Angola, IN. She graduated from high school in Angola, IN, and finished her Bachelor’s Degree in Bloomington, IN at IU (Early Childhood Education and Kindergarten/Primary Education).

Lead Teacher: Miss Alli

Alli Birkla started her journey with Honey Grove in August of 2021 as our Eeyores Lead Teacher. She is from Mooresville, Indiana and currently still lives in this area. She obtained her CDA in 2022 and is striving in our Eeyores classroom! Alli lives with her husband, Brendon, and her daughter, Zarra. They are blessed with two dogs, Dixie and Duke! She spends a lot of her time watching her husband race dirt track cars. Miss Alli believes that children learn best through play. She strives to provide fun and engaging learning activities, as well as a kind environment.

Morgan started with Honey Grove in 2021. She lives in Trafalger with her husband Evan and their two girls, Harper and Quinn, and son named Phoenix. In her free time she loves to read, watch new Netflix shows, and be with her family. Morgan started babysitting at 16 and loved it, so she applied to work at the daycare across from my high school. Growing up her mom ran an “at home” for 7 years so she has just always enjoyed being around kids!

Ms. Morgan has a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and is eager to apply her knowledge and skills to the program!
