Owner, Director: Ms. Bonnie Buckley
Honey Grove Educational Center was started by Bonnie McClurg-Buckley in January 2002, and is privately owned and operated. Bonnie spent many years teaching in various area schools before starting Honey Grove. As an educator in the primary grades, she realized the key relationship between successful preschool educational experiences and later elementary school success.
After graduating from Center Grove High School she attended Indiana University in Bloomington where she was a member of the pom squad and Chi Omega Sorority. She earned a B.S. in Elementary Education and an Indiana State Teaching License. Bonnie is the mother of three grown boys, Joel, Eric, and Adam McClurg. She is enjoying her growing family, three wonderful daughter-in-laws and five precious grandchildren. She has been an educator in various Johnson County schools for 20 years, teaching grades Kindergarten through third grade. In December of 1993, she obtained her Master in Elementary School Administration. Bonnie has been both a working mother, student, and professional and understands how stressful it can be to find quality, dependable childcare for children today. Bonnie has designed an educational program at Honey Grove for infants through Kindergarten students, and it is the academic emphasis that sets Honey Grove apart from the rest of the area daycares. She is truly confident that a Honey Grove experience will provide your child with a well balanced, early childhood education that will ensure their later elementary student success.
