Miss Abby joined our Honey Grove Team in 2014 as a Teacher Assistant. Since then, she has worked at multiple sites and many positions and is currently our Supervisor at Center Grove Elementary. Abby is from Whiteland, IN, and currently lives in Franklin. She loves collecting vinyl records and digging around antique stores and flea markets looking for a great album. Abby is also a big Disney fan! She loves spending time at her church where she plays the keyboard, sings, and helps in the preschool classrooms. Her main goal as a Supervisor is to create a safe and positive environment for all of her students. She hopes that they look back at their time at Honey Grove and remember the fun times and the many memories that were made.
“I’ll be there someday; I can go the distance. I will find my way if I can be strong. I know every mile will be worth my while. When I go the distance, I’ll be right where I belong”- Hercules

Miss Gretchen joined our Honey Grove team in February of 2018. She began at Maple Grove Elementary as our Assistant Supervisor and transitioned as our Supervisor at North Grove Elementary. Before she began her time at Honey Grove, Miss Gretchen spent many years in a before and after school program where she gained lots of experience in this field. She truly enjoys working and interacting with children, all the while making a difference in their lives. She is originally from the south side of Indianapolis and graduated from Roncalli High School. After graduation, Gretchen studied Secondary Education and Mathematics at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College before moving back to Indianapolis to study Elementary Education at Ivy Tech. Like many of our team at Honey Grove, she is a huge Disney enthusiast! Gretchen is an avid reader, extremely organized, crafty, and loves to do puzzles whenever she can find free time. She is also a big animal lover and lives with her two dogs and three cats! Miss Gretchen’s goal for the program at North Grove is for kids to come to an environment where they express their creativity, feel included, and have fun!

Mr. Matt was born and raised in Mooresville, IN graduating from Mooresville High School in 2010. After graduation, he attended the University of Indianapolis and holds a Bachelor’s in Sociology with a Minor in Youth and Child Development. Honey Grove was lucky enough to have Matt join our team in March 2020 after several years of experience working with school-aged students. Matt enjoys spending time with friends and family, anything sports-related, going to the gym, eating, and spending time with his wife of 3 years. Matt loves the connections and relationships built during out of school time between staff and students. He believes the flexibility of programming helps set apart out of school time. It gives him great joy to see how impactful out of school programs can have on children, for life.
