At Honey Grove our academic goals for each one of our classes is a progressive set of developmental, age appropriate specific skills for our teachers to use as guidelines when creating their lesson plans. Students who are enrolled in our pre-school programs participate in many hands-on learning centers which expose children to the different areas of learning. Teachers will facilitate opportunities for learning by using developmentally appropriate materials enabling our students to practice and acquire skills whether working individually, in large groups, or in teacher directed small groups.
Tiggers: Ms. Hilary
My favorite part of the day is first thing in the morning, seeing how happy the children are to see me and so excited to find out what we will be doing that day. After 20 years in business management I finally decided to pursue my fist love and become a preschool teacher. I am currently enrolled in Ivy Tech’s Early Childhood Program and loving every minute of teaching here at Honey Grove. I am married with two kids, a daughter in college and a son at Center Grove High School. My overall goal for my classroom is to ensure each child feels secure and gets the most out of each day whether that be through learning something new or just having fun making good friends and good choices.
